The course covers
- The Health and Safety at Work Act and the UK legal system.
- CDM Regulations: The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- Risk Assessments: Writing and managing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- High-Risk Activities: Working at height, scaffolding, confined spaces, excavations, and electricity.
- Plant and Equipment: Safe use of machinery, transport, and protective equipment.
- Occupational Health: Controlling hazards like asbestos, dust, noise, vibration, and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
- Site Welfare & Control: Fire prevention, first aid, site setup, and security.
- Environmental Management: Waste control, pollution prevention, and sustainable practices.
This course is required for people wanting to hold the FISS/CSCS Black card
