Construction Plant Certification Scheme

Those who operate plant and machinery on major projects and construction sites may be required to hold a CPCS card for the piece of machinery they operate.

  • Excavators
  • Cranes
  • Fork lifts
  • Dumpers
  • and many more

There are two types of cards

  • Trained Operator, for those who have been trained and passed a practical test
  • Competent Operator, upgrading from the red card to a competent card after they have achieved the plant NVQ
