Blue FISS/CSCS Installers Cards

The Blue FISS/CSCS card is for skilled fence installers

This is the card that construction sites and major contractors require for all installers

This card meets the requirements of British Standard 1722

VRS Installers need to hold the VRS version of the card to meet NHSS10 requirements

 

How to Gain a Blue FISS/CSCS Installers Card

To gain a Blue FISS/CSCS card, you must

  • Hold a Level 2 diploma in Fencing (General, VRS or TVRS)
  • Attend and pass a Level 1 Health & Safety Awareness course
  • Pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environmental test for Operatives

For VRS Installers, they are also required to

  • Attend and pass the NHSS10B Foundation and Installer course
  • Pass the manufacturer’s product course, i.e. Mega Rail or V & G parapet

For TVRS Installers, they are also required to

  • Attend and pass the NHSS10C Essentials course (when launched)
  • Pass the manufacturer’s product course, i.e.  RB800 or BG800

Card Life Span and Renewal Process

The card is valid for 5 years, after which you must renew your card by

  • Attending and pass a Health & Safety Awareness Course (Level 1, SSSTS)
  • Pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test for operatives (touchscreen)
  • VRS Installers also need to renew their NHSS10B Installers and product courses
  • TVRS Installers also need to renew their product training courses
  • You do not need to redo your Level 2 qualification, because that is valid for life

Please note that your SSSTS and CITB H, S & E test must be less than 2 years old at the time of renewal
